When I was younger every day seemed to have a never ending amount of time.
There was enough time to go to school, do my homework (who am I kidding I never did homework), play outside, watch tv, beat Super Mario Brothers on my Super Nintendo, read a book, and I always went to bed at a descent hour.
This morning on the radio they said the Milk Mustache Ads are being relaunched using chocolate milk, these ads were first launched 17 years ago. Say what?
I haven't seen a new Friends episode in 8 years! It's been 15 years since I was a freshman in high school (I know I just really showed my age with that one) I got my first iPod 9 years ago. When I started college I could only use my cell phone for emergencies, I didn't have enough minutes to talk on it on the way to class, when I was driving, or just for fun. I bought calling cards to talk to my friends on the phone (even though we mostly talked on AIM). It's been 11 years since the Sooners won a National Championship (in football). 12 years since we held our breath at midnight on January 1st because no one was quite sure what would happen when the computers changed over (we may have also been running around like lunatics in Wal*Mart and stealing people's mailboxes).
A year seems to fly by now that I'm older, time is dragging along making me wait forever for December to get here. I'm running to keep up with the days and am constantly trying to get everything finished in my allotted 24 hours a day. I can only imagine the older I get the faster it goes.
I really wish I could snatch a few hours from younger Ashlee, get her to December faster and me a little slower!
