Hello Monday!

Monday comes a little too soon after a super fun weekend, but I really can't complain since I didn't have to study and I will spend the next 5 days only working and not working and going to school!

This Monday brought a little something extra special in the form of last semesters, all As! Five semesters of straight As! Who am I?!?

It feels good to be done!

So on to the weekend.

I got a ticket Friday night. Ugh 18 months since my the last time I got pulled over. Apparently I was going 50 in a 25 it really didn't feel like I was speeding I wasn't in road rage mode or anything! I took my reduced ticket and went on my way. In 2011 it was a resolution not to have a violation and it worked, guess that's going to be a reoccurring resolution. What a waste of money!

Saturday Garrett and I went to breakfast and a little shopping then I headed out for a day of pampering, hair cut, shellac manicure, pedicure and eye brows waxed! (I found a new nail place that I liked, here is hoping my shellac lasts a good long while I had to stop going to both of my other places because my gel polish was not even lasting a week, it was more like 3 or 4 days supper annoying!!)

Then later that night it was out to meet a few of G's coworkers for the first time! We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a few too many beverages outside in perfect (but windy) weather.

Sunday we headed out to Garrett's grandparents we took lunch, and had big plans to play some dominoes, but someone (garrett) feel asleep right after lunch. After a nice visit we headed home where I feel asleep for a way too late nap and then curled up with G's most delicious popcorn and movie (A Dangerous Method).

I figure without having to go to class every day this week it will be Friday again before I know it! Oh how I love the weekends!

Hello!

Well my semester is finally over! thank the lord!

It has been a rough four months to say the least. I never felt caught up, just like I was treading water trying to not fall behind. Now I'm just obsessively checking to see when my grades are posted!

I've really been thinking a lot about this blog in its sad little neglected state. I want to blog more but I think I get into a rut where the only things that are going on is work, school, study, rinse, and repeat and that's no fun to read or write about.

I think I'm going to be making some changes around here, a new look, maybe even a new name and a new url. I'm not sure we'll see. Shortly after I started this blog Garrett asked me why I wanted to blog my answer was, because maybe some day my great, great grandkids will will want to read about me, and that still stands true today. I just haven't been very loyal to that idea.

I should have way more time this summer I'm only taking 3 hours (online!!)  I'm so excited for this summer and my amazing summer bucket list (I'll share in the next couple of days!)

Have a great weekend!!

So happy for summer!

Furbaby Friday

I am linking up with Mrs. Monologues Furbaby Friday!

Kuddles thought it had been far too long since she's had a new picture up....

This is how she was laying on my lap last night while I studied, upside down with the tongue out. Waiting for a treat, or at least a belly rub!

Don't Call it the Zeros...that just sounds lame.

When I was younger every day seemed to have a never ending amount of time.

There was enough time to go to school, do my homework (who am I kidding I never did homework), play outside, watch tv, beat Super Mario Brothers on my Super Nintendo, read a book, and I always went to bed at a descent hour.

This morning on the radio they said the Milk Mustache Ads are being relaunched using chocolate milk, these ads were first launched 17 years ago. Say what?

I haven't seen a new Friends episode in 8 years! It's been 15 years since I was a freshman in high school (I know I just really showed my age with that one) I got my first iPod 9 years ago. When I started college I could only use my cell phone for emergencies, I didn't have enough minutes to talk on it on the way to class, when I was driving, or just for fun. I bought calling cards to talk to my friends on the phone (even though we mostly talked on AIM). It's been 11 years since the Sooners won a National Championship (in football). 12 years since we held our breath at midnight on January 1st because no one was quite sure what would happen when the computers changed over (we may have also been running around like lunatics in Wal*Mart and stealing people's mailboxes).

A year seems to fly by now that I'm older, time is dragging along making me wait forever for December to get here. I'm running to keep up with the days and am constantly trying to get everything finished in my allotted 24 hours a day. I can only imagine the older I get the faster it goes.

I really wish I could snatch a few hours from younger Ashlee, get her to December faster and me a little slower!
