I have so many favorite foods! I guess I'd say potatoes because there are so many things you can do with them it would take me a while to get tired of them. Plus I have a huge love for French Fries!
5. If you could move to any place in the world, where would it be?

Night Owl to Morning Person

I am a night owl.

I could easily stay up until 3 or 4 every night (morning?). The problem is I have to get up for work...

The thing is I'm afraid I could go to bed at 9 and I'd still have to draaag myself out of bed in the morning.

I hate mornings.

For my professional life I think it would be better if I could be a morning person.

Today I managed to pull myself out of bed at 8:15 and it was brutal. and a little bit shameful.

Ideally I would get up every morning at 6:30 I'd have time to run on the treadmill, eat breakfast, maybe take the dog for a walk, and get ready for the day.

Next week I'm going to start trying to transition...I'll let you know how it goes...

Who would want to get out of bed with this cuddle bunny next to them?

Have any of you changed yourself for a night owl to a morning person?

Furry Friends!

I headed home for a quick trip last weekend 55 hours from touchdown to take off. It wasn't nearly enough time. I didn't get to do lots of things I wanted to do, or most of the things I normally do when I head home.

No trips to my favorite ice cream shops, or dinners at restaurants I dream about, no sunsets, and no time for shopping.

But aside from being rushed I had an amazing time! It just went way too fast!

I took almost no pictures. Good thing I had a photographer with me all weekend!

Here are some I took of my favorite Furry friends from Florida!

Gator, Kane, and Brook
(All are sweet! and make me remember how small Kuddles is!)

Phantom
(who used to be evil but has gotten nicer with old age)

Danielle
(Who reminds us all of Doby the House Elf)

Bitsy
(Who is not very photogenic)

It's A Brand New Year!

Okay so I'm a little bit late with the whole goals/resolutions thing...but good news! I've been living them for a few days and I know they should be obtainable!

My 12 in 2012!

1. Strength of mind is exercise, not rest. - Alexander Pope

Finish up my CPA requirements. I need 18 more accounting hours and then 6 more bonus hours. Then the studying and testing can begin!

2. A Sister is a Forever Friend...

Visit Natalie at school. She always came and visited me when I was in college and now it's my turn to visit her! She loves her house and I can't wait to see it!

3. Blogging is pure vanity.

Publish 200 posts. I blogged a measly 51 times in 2011, that is so sad. This year I'll make it more of a priority.

4. I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more...
Maybe I'll just start out with 500 miles. I can run, walk, or jog them just get them done!

5. "Sleep is the best meditation." -Dalai Lama
Be in bed every weeknight by 11:30. It boils down to I need more sleep, and I'm kind of a night owl.

6. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have!

Lay out the next days clothes the night before! I spend too much time in the morning, trying to decide what I want to wear. Then half the time I look sloppy.

7. On Wednesday's we wear pink!

Following the Mean Girls line of thinking, I will only wear my hair in a ponytail (to work) one day a week. It has gotten to the point when my hair girl asks me a question about my hair I don't have an answer because I wear it up so much I forgot...not okay.

8. "I have more memories than if I were a thousand years old." -Charles Baudelaire

I got this book last year and I failed miserably starting in around April. I got a new one for this year, and this year I will stay on top of it! It's only one line a day...I can do it!

9. Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama....
The last two years G and I have taken a vacation the first week of January. Last year was skiing, this year was the cruise. At the end of 2012 I should be finished with school, and we will both turn 30 (what?!?!) so by the end of this year I plan to have something amazing planned!

10. You've Got Mail.

Send 5 pieces of snail mail a month. Easy enough...maybe...

11. "We read to know we are not alone." -C.S. Lewis

I love to read it just comes down to finding the time to do it. Read 12 nonschool books. The problem with me and reading is I cannot get anything done (including sleeping) if I'm reading a book, all I want to do is finish it.

12. Tractors is so dumb. -Mater

This one kind of makes me almost have a panic attack a little bit. but here it is...Buy a new car. I really really really like having no car payment. And the idea of having to make a big decision like which car to buy haunts me. But, the truth is my air conditioner needs to be replaced and it's not worth putting that much money into my car so I'd be better off getting a new one. *Deep Breaths*

There it is my 12 in 2012. I think this is my last year of doing one resolution/goal that corresponds with the year it seems like it would just get out of hand....

Home Again!

We made it back from vacation, all in one piece!

Travelling yesterday was awful (I hate ending a vacation like that!) I just tried to not stress, it worked. mostly.

I was sad to see that my scheduled blog posts did not post. user error? I'm not sure.

I'm trying to get back in the swing of work, getting ready for school to start tomorrow, and getting ready to go back out of town Friday.

I owe you some New Year's Resolutions and a Thank you to my Secret Santa...those are coming right up...

2011 Resolutions...

I am ringing in the New Year in a hotel in Galveston, TX with Garrett and I could not be happier. Tomorrow we leave on our second annual New Year vacation, a 7 day cruise (YAY!).

It's quiet around here no going out or drinking, we've been in our pjs since 4:00 and I honestly can't imagine a better way to welcome in the new year. After a crazy busy running-around-like-chickens year it's nice to end it in a peaceful way.

Let's take a look at how I did on last year's resolutions...tomorrow I'll post 12 for 2012!

1. Reach My Goal Weight. Fail. I am disappointed in myself for pretending that this resolution didn't exist, and not even getting close. I won't make any excuses I just didn't stick to any kind of plan....

2. Stay on Track at School. Completed! I finished 18 hours of classes in 2011 keeping me right on schedule! Not only did I complete all the hours I should have but I got all As (let me tell you how good that feels!)

3. Attend the OU vs. fsu game. Fail. In the grand scheme of things it just didn't work out. I was disappointed and regretted my decision almost immoderately. It came down to being scared we would lose, and being so busy with school.

4. Read 12 non Academic Books. Completed! Some of them were terrible easy beach reads because that was all I had time for, but at least I was reading something other than accounting text books!

5. Once a Week Blog a Recipe. Fail. I didn't even blog an average of once a week this hear (shameful!) and I stopped cooking....

6. Cook 6 Meals for the Ronald McDonald House. Fail. I didn't have/make the time. The 3 day took priority in the volunteering slot this year...

7. No Traffic Violations. Completed! and let me tell you many of days I had to remind myself that this was a resolution of mine so I would slow down! It also helps I moved so much closer to work/school.

8. Save, Save, Save! I spent more than I should have but I did alright on saving too...I kind of forgot what I wanted the number in my savings account to be...so let's call this one neutral.

9. Establish a Skin Care Routine. Fail. Not much to say on this one I just am not the best at taking care of my skin.

10. Exercise 3 Times a Week. I am sure I averaged 3 times a week BUT I there were some weeks with more and some with less. I'll call this one mostly a fail because I did not get in a routine.

11. 365 Picture Challenge. Fail. I still think this is an awesome idea, but lots and lots of days I do the same thing: school, work, study. That gets boring to take pictures of...but now that I have an iphone it would be easier...so maybe I'll try again.

Well those may be my worst odds yet! 3completed 2 kind of completed and 6 were a BIG FAT FAIL.

It's really crazy how your goals change throughout the year. This year was mostly all about doing my very best in school, everything else took a backseat it's so important to me to really excel now that I've found something I really love to do.

2012 I really must work on finding some balance....

I hope you are having a wonderful time ringing in 2012!

I....

I am at work, sadly my mind has already left for Christmas vacation so I'm not getting much done...

I think this is going to be the best Christmas in a long time!

I have a bunch of vacation days I'll be using in the next few weeks!

I wish I could get a quick glimpse of the future. But, I guess that wouldn't be much fun.

I imagine all kinds of outrageous things, my imagination is very active. (or at least that's what G tells me)

I love my little dog.

I hate most bad drivers.

I miss my sister...I get to see her the day after tomorrow!

I fear way too much, but nothing like spiders or snakes.

I hear LFO Summer girls on Pandora.

I smell my Sugar Blossom Soy Candle..love that smell

I crave potatoes and lemonade.

I indulge in manicures and pedicures.

I wonder if different life paths would have led me to this same spot.

I regret nothing.

I will never forget how lucky I am!

I ache like a little old woman. mustgetinbettershape.

I believe in Santa.

I sing around little kids, they never make fun.

I cry in the shower sometimes.

I lose EVERYTHING. (it's usually only temporary misplacement)

I never say never.

I sometimes talk out loud to myself, even though I will make fun of you if you are doing it,

I always forget how good I feel after I run.

I look forward to being done with school. again.

I search for whatever I most recently lost.

I carry my Lilly wristlet everywhere I go.

I can usually be found making myself busier than necessary.

I am scared of scary people.

I need a lesson in patient driving.

I am happy about seeing my mom and sister in 2 days, Christmas in five days, and our cruise in 12 days!
